What affects a Suzuki quad's price
Condition over age on a KingQuad
Hours count, and so does the state of the frame. KingQuads are tough, so a well-kept older one can beat a neglected newer one.
KingQuad 4WD and the diff lock
Try 2WD, then 4WD, then the diff lock. Then run through the gears. If anything hesitates, tell us before we arrive.
Manual 400FSi vs auto 400ASi
The manual KingQuad 400 and the auto are different machines to own. We price them separately.
Power steering on the 750 and 500
Power steering versions of the KingQuad 750 and 500 are worth more if the system works. A warning light on the dash knocks that back.
CESAR and Datatag markings
Suzuki GB fits the CESAR security system, run by Datatag, to new utility quads. Intact markings help prove the quad's history.

Every KingQuad, from the 400 to the 750

KingQuad 750 and 700
Suzuki's biggest KingQuads. A 700 ran for a few years from 2005, then the 750 took over for 2008, with a power steering version from 2009. Suzuki GB still sells the 750 today, as the 750XP.
KingQuad 500 and 450
The KingQuad 500 arrived for 2009 with power steering available, replacing the KingQuad 450 (LT-A450X). It's still in Suzuki's UK range, sold as the 500X and 500XP.
KingQuad 400: manual or auto
The KingQuad 400 came in two versions from 2008. One is the automatic 400ASi. The other, the 400FSi, has a five-speed gearbox you change with your foot, with an automatic clutch so there's no clutch lever. With the manual you get precise control at walking pace, which is handy around livestock. There's no drive belt to wear out either. Tell us which you've got. It's on the side panel or in the paperwork.
Older and sports Suzukis
Smallholdings still run the Ozark 250, and older utility quads like the Eiger 400 and Vinson 500 are worth asking about too. For sport there's the LT-Z400 and LT-R450, and we price modified LT-Zs and other sports quads properly. KingQuads with a flat battery or a stuck diff lock
A KingQuad with a flat battery still has sound running gear. So does one with a seized engine, and KingQuad parts are in steady demand. A diff lock that won't release? Tell us. An Ozark that last started years ago is still worth a photo, and when we come for it the winch on the trailer does the work, so it doesn't matter if the wheels won't turn. Suzuki frame numbers and CESAR markings
It depends on the model. On the KingQuad 750, Suzuki's service manual puts the frame number on the left side of the front frame tube. On the KingQuad 700 it's reported on the left rear of the frame, behind the tyre. For anything else, our guide to finding a quad's VIN will help. Clean the mud off first, because on a working KingQuad the front frame tube is usually caked, and take a clear photo in daylight so we can read every character.
If your Suzuki carries Datatag or CESAR markings, they're another way to show the quad's identity. Before paying, we compare the stamp with the number on your V5C or invoice.

Is an old Ozark worth selling?
It is. Smallholdings still use them, and a non-runner has parts value.
