ME1 to ME8, Rochester to Rainham

ME1 is Rochester and the villages south towards Borstal. Frindsbury and Wainscott share Strood's ME2, as does Cuxton. ME3 is the Hoo Peninsula. ME4? Chatham, including the Dockyard side. ME5 covers Walderslade and Lordswood and the south of Chatham. Gillingham is ME7. ME8 is Rainham, with the east of Gillingham.

The higher ground in the middle of the peninsula is arable, with the RSPB's Northward Hill reserve on the ridge at High Halstow. Farms from Cliffe and Cooling across to Allhallows grow crops on the good land and graze stock on the marsh. Quads here do long runs along sea walls and dykes. Out on the marshes, a quad is how you check stock and troughs across wide, soft ground. Registered? Then we need the V5C. If it never was, the original invoice will do, or the receipt. Collecting off the M2 and across to Grain

M2 junctions 1 to 4 and the A228

Four M2 junctions serve Medway. Junction 1 is for Strood and 2 for the Medway valley, 3 is at Blue Bell Hill for Chatham and Walderslade, and 4 is for Gillingham and Rainham. The A2 runs through all the towns, the A228 heads across the peninsula to Grain, the A289 links Strood with the peninsula and the Medway Tunnel, and the A278 serves Gillingham.
