Grazing behind the Seasalter sea wall
West of Whitstable, the Seasalter levels are flat grazing behind the sea wall, and the stock farms there check sheep and cattle by quad. Wet ground wears them. We allow for it.
Herne Bay and the farms out to Reculver
CT6 is Herne Bay and everything strung along the front from Hampton to Beltinge. Herne and Broomfield sit behind. East of Beltinge the houses stop and the marsh opens out to the twin towers at Reculver. Arable farms towards Herne and Broomfield run quads for fencing and field work, and we buy those as working farm quads whatever the hours.

The Crab and Winkle Way and the promenade
The Crab and Winkle Way from Whitstable to Canterbury is a walking and cycling route, and so are the paths along the front towards Herne Bay. Taking a motor vehicle onto a footpath or bridleway without lawful authority is an offence under section 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, and on a cycle track it's section 21. Along the old Thanet Way through Whitstable
The A299 Thanet Way runs behind both towns. For Whitstable and Herne Bay themselves we come off onto the A2990, which was the old Thanet Way. Inland, the A290 heads through Blean and the A291 climbs from Herne Bay to Herne and Broomfield.
